Planet Waves 10' Classic Series 1/4 Instrument Cable Reviews

This is a great cable. Looks good. Reliable. None of that tightening the screw mechanism found on some cables.

I've come to the point where anytime I buy a new guitar cable it is a planet waves. They are good quality, decently priced, and I don't have to worry about them shorting out on me. Definite buy.

Blues for a Dime Store Guitar
Set in a small town during the late 1970s, Blues for a Dime Store Guitar is about three young people trying to find their places in life, but coming to different conclusions about what that means. Following her parents’ divorce, Angie moves in with her grandmother and dreams of traveling and having a fine romance, but then she meets Clayton. A malcontent who spends his days working as a carpenter, Clayton wastes his nights drinking beer, smoking pot, and cruising around in his hot rod Mustang. He is a frustrated guitarist who blames his brother, Duane, for the collapse of their small-time rock band. Duane, who has recently become a born-again Christian, aspires to godliness, but falls short, sometimes in ways he least expects. All three find their paths crossing as they seek love, strive to be more like Christ, or simply look for a good time. Their story appeals to young adults who grapple with life’s big questions, as well as older readers who can still remember what it was like to be young, especially those who may have smoked homegrown marijuana, played Lynyrd Skynyrd songs on electric guitars, or tried to tell drunks about Jesus.

Blues for a Dime Store Guitar Reviews

I have known Ray Sikes for years and he is an amazing man. His book just blew me away. Let me just say for the record that I am not a Christian and I still found this book to be more than worth the read. Ray doesn't stick to one genre and that may be why more people haven't found this book yet. But if you open your mind you will discover a rare treasure in Blues for a Dime Store Guitar. Ray brings back the 70s in a way that makes you almost miss them! His characters are right on target and he doesn't try to take the easy way out with his plot. I could not put the book down. I think most people will recognize themselves or people they know in this book. It is just so real and down to earth.

This one's different. Think Allman Brothers and Jesus. Can these two possibly mix? After a thorough read, 10 different readers will come to 7.76 conclusions. Ah that Ray Sikes is a very clever fox. But he doesn't really jerk you around (too much). It's honest. It's real. It's Blues. This book oozes with blues. You like guitar? Your brain will automatically put on The A. Bros. and L. Skynyrd mixed with seagulls and ocean waves for SFX. The smell of crabs and brackish water may also prove to be a trick of the brain. You like Dime Stores? What the hell is a Dime Store? (I'm faking a young pup's response). All you pups need to know is that a Dime Store was superior to any equivalent today! So you need to read the professor's book to expand your minds. This story defies formula. You really don't know where it's headed. But the ending invites a sequel. Or does it? Either way, I'm hoping for one. Enjoy!

Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas
Following the success of the recently released Psych Funk 101, Brasilian Guitar, Fuzz Bananas should serve as a master class for those entranced by the funky, heavy psychedelic wonders of the Tropicalia movement and all that it spawned. But as compiler Joel Stones writes in his liner notes: "You won t find Os Mutantes or their maestro Rogerio Duprat on this compilation. There is a reason that the records contained here have never been reissued. Even though you will recognize some of the labels contained here... believe me when I write this: some of the rarest, and best, examples of fuzzy, funky Brazilian psychedelia came out as promo-only 7" records on these labels." Each song contained on this album has never been reissued, and has been restored from the best source possible and remastered for near-perfect sound quality. The 48 page full color booklet contains a wealth of imagery and detailed annotation and liner notes in both English and Portuguese.

Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas Reviews

This compilation really blew me away. There is nothing out there like it. Period. The tracks flow beautifully together, the beats will crack your brain, and the fuzzz explodes. It is 100% original and fully unique. It puts all other compilations to shame. And I've gotta say, the reviewer below is completely out of his mind, in a bad way. Just look at the production on this and read the booklet for a minute to see that this is not a bootleg. Hopefully this comp will gain some much deserved exposure for its artists so that they can get their much-deserved due. If it weren't for compilations like this one, these artists would go on unnoticed and uncompensated. Thanks to Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas, a few little-known Brazilian musicians might finally get some respect.

The first reviewer is nuts - this stuff is great. The most far-out, rare, Brazilian garage / psych on the planet. Great liner notes and video too.

Planet Waves 10 Standard Guitar Picks - Celluloid - Assorted Pearl-Medium
Planet Waves Standard Guitar Picks--Right for Any Hand When it comes to playing a guitar, nothing but the best will do. That's why Planet Waves Medium Standard Guitar Picks are the right choice. They are the right tool for the job, which is producing awesome music. Stylish in pearlized colors, these medium guitar picks are the most popular picks out there today. Not too thin and not too heavy, they are just right for every guitar-playing style.
Attractive, stylish, beautiful sound. The Right Fit No Matter the Age
It does not matter if this pick will be used by someone who is six-years old or sixty-years old, the Planet Waves Standard guitar pick will be just what the doctor ordered. The pearl finish is attractive enough for kids to want to use, thick enough not to snap when used on electric guitars, and thin enough not to muddle the sound of the strings. Why a Medium Guitar Pick?
A medium guitar pick is 0.73–0.81 mm or 0.028–0.031 inches thick. When playing rock or heavier music, or while playing electric guitar with hi-gain amplification or distortion, thinner picks produce muddier, less precise, less controlled sound while thicker picks produce more specific, more controlled and well-shaped tone. Thinner picks also tend to rip or tear more often if used too forcefully, whereas a thicker one is less likely to wear down. Thicker picks are generally used in more discrete genres, such as heavy metal or power metal.
Comes in a 10-pack of assorted pearlized colors. Celluloid, Historically Speaking
Invented in
- One of the first polymers ever created, cellulose nitrate is made by reacting cotton fibers with nitric acid
- They are available in a wide variety of thicknesses, shapes, and colors, and provide a natural feel and warm, fat tone

Planet Waves 10 Standard Guitar Picks - Celluloid - Assorted Pearl-Medium Reviews

Yes they came in a much too big box but they were in a sealed plastic bag and they are all here. Many other reviews of picks complain that they didn't arrive but these did. They are for my 6 year old so quality is unclear but quantity is good!

These picks have a good weight and are very nice looking. I highly recommend them.
