I picked up one of these because I needed an inexpensive guitar, light weight guitar to take on a trip. My expectations were very low because of it's price and my past experience with Epiphone products from years back.

The action, fret dressings and overall quality of fretboard work out of the box really suprised me. I won't say it was perfect, but it was good enough to avoid immediate work and for this price I would say exceptional.

The finish is good. The included pickup is also above average for a guitar of this price range... It's just a solid starter electric guitar at an excellent price.

Retailing for less than 0, we have here a Epiphone LP Junior Special based off of the original Gibson Les Paul Jr. Considering the asking price of an original Gibson model of this guitar from the '50s can reach the five-figure mark, the Epi version is a stupidly good value. And guess what... it is ten times the quality instrumet the original LP JR will ever be! Remember that the original Gibson model was built as a beginner/entry level guitar. The Epi model has a way better finish (along with triple the available color choices) and hardware such as tuning pegs and tonepots than the cheap crap on the original. My only gripe about this guitar is they discontinued using a reissue p90 pickup in favor of a more modern humbucker. Boo frickin hoo, but then again what do you want for under a hundered bucks?

Bottom Line: Let the stupid idiots in the world of "vintage guitar collecting pay 00+ for ten dollars worth of basswood while you shred on this rock and roll machine!

When I 1st got this guitar I was really nervous. I heard mixed reviews about it, some saying it was awesome and some saying it sucked. I was pleasantly surprised when i plugged it in 2 my amp(it's a crappy amp and the Les Paul sounded way better than my Strat!). It's easy 2 move your fingers, sounds great, looks great and makes it so ur cables never fall out. my one complaint is there's only 1 tone and 1 volume, but it still has that Les Paul sound! It sounds great dirty and clean and is great for rockin out!!

This is a great guitar. If you want a Les Paul styled guitar this is your guitar. Just be aware that just cuz it looks like a L.P. guitar does not mean that it will sound like the real thing (a Gibson L.P.) That was something I learned very quickly. Ha Ha. But all in all for the price this is a great looking, great feeling and good sounding guitar.

I love it, can't get enough of it. I have it hooked up to a line6 and the FVB Express board, I don't think there is a sound that it can't make. It plays easy, I'm used to acoustics Ovation mostly and I love the way they play. When I tried this the first time it was like I had to keep looking to be sure it was my hands that were playing it. Very happy I got it.

One complaint when it came it was lose in the box it fell out of the Epiphone box into the shipping box and strings were broken. They sent me a new set but come on tape the box shut. either they were setting it up and forgot to pack it back right or someone was using it. Luckily their was no other damage I could see and not other finger prints. It took me a while to calm down but once I did I sunk deep into this guitar. You may lose your wife or girlfriend, fair warning I keep getting up in the middle of the night to try something I dreamed up.

I had no idea if this was going to be a good guitar. I received it in about 4 days and it is THE BEST GUITAR EVER! Looks great! Sounds Great! Feels Great! Everything you would want in a guitar. Nothing bad to say. If you are a beginner or anything else, it would be perfect for you. Unless you're some kind of hardcore musician. Basically if you don't know any other guitar to get, just get this one.

I have 13 guitars and bought this one on recently not expecting too much.This guitar smoke's .I got it straight out of the box it needed a slight setup,the intonation was out a little bit but when i set it up I was very pleased with the sound the color (wine,very cool looking) and playability.great deal for the price.It is the 4th Epiphone i bought this month they are getting better and better.
