I got one of these second hand, and was happy to find out when I took it to the store that not only did the Epiphone I ended up buying fit in it, but so did the 0+ Gibson models, as well! Perhaps not a concern for everyone, but it's nice to know if you upgrade to a used Gibson down the road, it'll fit. Fit and finish is great, very solidly built. The top gives very slightly, but unless you were to jump (not just step) on it, it's unlikely you'd damage the guitar inside. Such a small amount for a case is a small investment for a 0+ guitar.

This case it built really well, it has really nice plush interior... storage area for picks-strings-tuning fork-etc in the neck, it DOES have a lock on one of the latches. The case actually kind of stuck the first few days after i got; so much so that i thought it was locked with the key inside when i first got it. Turns out thats actually impossible to do with this case unless you have an extra key... so dont worry. Just dont be an idiot like me and give it a good tug when you get it.

Above all it fits my Epi LP perfectly... as it should! hehe.

The LP Handbook is a great primer for people new to the Les Paul and thinking of getting one. It's a great quick reference guide for those same people who want to take care of their guitars themselves and not pay high rates at the local guitar repair shop. In that same context however, it's great for folks who need to look up one particular thing. The facts aren't strewn all over the place, they are in one neatly organized area. Why read through repairing Fenders or Guilds to get to the good stuff? Super book. Lester should be proud. Did I say great enough times ??

The Gibson Upright - Booth Tarkington

ACT I

ANDREW GIBSON'S _office in his piano factory where he manufactures "The Gibson Upright." A very plain interior; pleasant to the eye, yet distinctly an office in a factory, and without luxuries; altogether utilitarian.

Against the wall on our right is a roll-top desk, open, very neat, and in the centre of the writing pad a fresh rose stands in a glass of water. Near by is a long, plain table and upon it a very neat arrangement of correspondence and a couple of ledgers.

Against the walls are a dozen plain cane-seated chairs. Near the centre of the room is a sample of the Gibson upright piano in light wood. There is a large safe, showing the word "Gibson," and there are filing cases. In the rear wall there is a door with the upper half of opaque glass, which shows "Mr. Gibson" in reverse; and near this door is a water filter upon a stand. In the wall upon our left is a plain wooden door. The rear door opens into the factory; the other into a hall that leads to the street.

Upon the walls are several posters, one showing "The Gibson Upright"--a happy family, including children and a grandparent, exclaiming with joy at sight of this instrument. Another shows a concert singer singing widely beside "The Gibson Upright," with an accompanist seated. Another shows a semi-colossal millionaire, and a workingman of similar size in paper cap and apron, shaking hands across "The Gibson Upright," and, printed: "8.00--The Price for the Millionaire, the Same for Plain John Smith--8.00." This poster and the others all show the slogan: "How Cheap, BUT How Good!"

Nothing is new in this room, but everything is clean and accurately in order. The arrangement is symmetrical.
