This guitar is really worth its price at 0. It has a very nice look to it and its sounds great. Not only is it great for just blues or jazz kind of music, but rock music also sounds great on it too. And its not just a cheap start up guitar, but pros use it too. Both Josh Homme and Troy La Veewen ( i think thats how u spell it) of Queens of The Stone Age used this guitar for the Songs For the Deaf tour. If you don't believe me search Auto Pilot Queens of the Stone Age on youtube and look at what guitar they are using. Seriousely though if i did not buy it myself i would think this was at least 0 not 0. So if you are looking for a guitar to possibly gig with for not to much money this is one of your best choices.

I actually have a special edition with a flamed maple sunburst top and gold hardware, which I think looks better and is also the same price. This thing is a really nice instrument. It's gorgeous looking and, despite being a budget guitar, can get gorgeous tone. I've got a 15 watt Line 6 digital amp, and it even sounds great through that. The pickups are '57 Classic Alnicos (I don't know what alnico means, but it's good), and can get nice warm jazzy clean tones, wailing electric blues, fuzzy rock, punk, and thick metal. It sounds awesome on the bridge pickup with full midrange and about 3/4 treble, just enough distortion to get fuzzy power chords, and a bit of reverb. I highly recommend this guitar.

Now the 335 semi-hollowbody archtop is within anyone's reach with the cool-looking, yet amazingly affordable Dot Studio Worn models from Epiphone. The well-worn looking finish on the Maple Laminate body makes this guitar look like a much more expensive guitar, yet no guitar in the industry touches is quality for the price. With great semi-hollow sound voiced by real Alnico Classic Humbucker pickups, heavy-duty parts, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, it has everything you need and nothing you don't.

Considering the price and everything, this guitar is almost worth five stars. I compared this guitar to a Gibson Custom Shop Alvin Lee "Big Red" and it's amazing that for about 10% of the cost of the "Big Red" you're getting a hot axe that has an incredible unbelievable sound. One key component are the double Vintage Alnico V plus pickups. The fretboard is fast and the workmanship is pretty good for this price range. Comparing this Epiphone Dot Studio to other 335s' from various manufacturers, I found that the Epiphone has done the best job in this category, and it's because Epiphone is a Gibson company and that may explain it why.

This guitar is relatively light for a semi-hollow body and the setup was perfect right out of the box with low action the way I like it. I think the worn series finishes with the worn cherry etc. are a unique touch although I also like the tomato red, the yellow, the alpine white from recent editions. A very good guitar at a very affordable price.
